I’m Tohru Seraku (瀬楽 亨 in Japanese), a linguist specialising in pragmatics and its interfaces with syntax and semantics. I earned my DPhil in linguistics from the University of Oxford in 2013. Following that, I taught as a Teaching Fellow at SOAS (University of London) and am currently a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. 

 

I also teach Japanese on the EBS radio programme "たのしい日本語."
